I-70 Lane Closures in Georgetown/Idaho Springs Area

March 15, 2013 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – Lane closures will be taking place on Interstate 70 at Georgetown Hill and Fall River Road next week for rock scaling and fence installation, weather permitting.
  • Georgetown Hill: Monday, March 18 through Thursday, March 21: Right lane closedwestbound from Georgetown to Silver Plume – 10 a.m. to sundown
  • Fall River Road (one mile west of Idaho Springs): Monday, March 18 through Thursday, March 21:  Right lane closed westbound, from west Idaho Springs interchange – 10 a.m. to sundown

Removing loose rocks and securing additional rocks and boulders on Georgetown Hill and the slope above I-70 in the Idaho Springs area is providing I-70 drivers with long-term safety enhancements in areas that can be prone to rockfall.
