Bridge Monitoring Equipment Installation Delayed

June 10, 2013 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - MANITOU SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is postponing the installation of bridge monitoring equipment under the Williams Canyon Bridge on U.S. 24 since the required personnel will not be available for a few weeks.

CDOT was planning to install the equipment on the structure this week

The devices being placed under the bridge will allow the structure’s movements to be monitored from CDOT’s Denver headquarters.  It will be the first bridge in the state to have this technology.

A traffic advisory will be distributed when the project is rescheduled, most likely in mid-July.
