Paving on Highway 50 next week

June 28, 2013 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - FREMONT COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will finish paving a 1 ½-mile segment of U.S. 50 between Texas Creek and Cotopaxi on Monday, July 1.

Paving began on June 10 but CDOT was not able to complete the three-day project due to the wildfires in the Royal Gorge area.

Flaggers will alternate eastbound and westbound traffic through the work zone from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Delays up to 15 minutes should be expected.

The road is being resurfaced with asphalt, preventing surface deterioration and helping to preserve the road base.

Drivers are asked to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.
