Upcoming I-70 Traffic Stop in Silverthorne Area

June 6, 2013 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - SILVERTHORNE – Lane closures and a traffic stop will be taking place on eastbound Interstate 70 next week, just west of the Silverthorne Interchange (Exit 205), for removal of the old electronic sign and the structurally-deficient sign bridge that crosses the highway.

Beginning at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, one lane will be closed, starting just east of the Dillon Reservoir Overlook and continuing east to the interchange.  The single lane closure remains until 8 p.m., when all eastbound traffic will be stopped for approximately 30 minutes.

After the highway reopens to traffic, one lane will remain closed until about midnight for removal activities.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) must stop traffic to maintain safety through the area for the traveling public.
