I-70 Eagle Roundabouts and Ramps Open Three Weeks Ahead of Schedule

November 4, 2013 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - Full Access in All Directions Begins November 5.

EAGLE - On Tuesday, November 5, the I-70 Eagle Interchange Project will open fully functional roundabouts on Eby Creek and the I-70 eastbound and westbound ramps.  This significant milestone allows drivers to utilize the complete roundabout with unimpeded access in all directions of the traffic circle. Drivers are required to yield to traffic on their left prior to entering the roundabout.

This marks a major accomplishment for the project, as the goal of having two fully functional roundabouts open by Thanksgiving was met three weeks ahead of schedule.  Construction activity will be ongoing through December outside of traffic as crews complete construction on the center islands of the roundabout, sidewalks, guardrail, signing and lighting.
