Daytime closures of I-25/U.S. 24 Ramp

December 11, 2013 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be closing the ramp from northbound Interstate 25 to eastbound U.S. 24 (Exit 139) over the next few days to finish installing expansion joints on the Fountain Creek Bridge.

Ramp closures will be in place as follows:

  • Thursday, December 12 – 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Friday, December 13 – 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, December 15 – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

While the ramp is closed, drivers can use the Circle Drive, Academy Boulevard or State Highway 16 exits to access areas served by U.S. 24, east of I-25.

CDOT is replacing the expansion joints to extend the lifespan of the bridge.  Joints have been replaced on 15 other bridges in Colorado Springs.
