Railroad Work at North Shields and US 287 to Cause Delays Next Week

Detours around intersection in place from 5 a.m. Aug. 9 to 8 p.m. Aug. 10

FORT COLLINS—On Tuesday, Aug. 9 and Wednesday, Aug. 10, Union Pacific Railroad will be completing work on its track at the intersection of US 287 and North Shields, which will cause major delays in the area.

The intersection will be mostly blocked beginning at 5 a.m. Aug. 9 until 8 p.m. on Aug. 10. North Shields may continue to be blocked for part of the day on Aug. 11.

Westbound traffic on US 287 will detour right onto North Shields Street, which turns into County Road 56 as it heads west. Traffic will loop around to connect back up with US 287 at Overland Trail.

Eastbound traffic on US 287 will detour left onto Overland Trail and continue east on County Road 56. Traffic will continue south on North Shields until it connects up to US 287.

For northbound traffic on North Shields, the detour will go right on Willox Lane. Southbound traffic on North Shields will detour to US 287 to Willox.
