US 24 Planning and Environmental Linkage Study Underway

August 9, 2016 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - Public invited to meet project team, learn about study and provide input.

Colorado Springs – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is conducting a Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) study to examine improvements for US 24 between Powers Boulevard (SH 21) and the Town of Ramah. The study will provide a more thorough understanding of the existing and future transportation conditions along US 24. The study will identify socioeconomic, environmental, and resource concerns and opportunities in the corridor and screen a range of improvements to develop an implementation plan for future projects to meet the operational, safety, and capacity needs of the corridor. The first phase of this 12-month study includes gathering public input and evaluation of existing and future conditions.

Plan on attending one of the public open houses to learn more about the project and provide input.
