Advisory Committee

Overview

The Colorado Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Advisory Committee is made up of nine volunteers, appointed by the CDOT Executive Director, serving two-year terms. These members represent educators, parents, bicyclists, pedestrians, and law enforcement personnel. The Code of Colorado Regulations state that the SRTS Advisory Committee shall include:

The primary role of the Advisory Committee is to review SRTS grant applications and make recommendations to the Colorado Transportation Commission, which awards grants under the SRTS program. Further, the committee is responsible for input into the process, the long-term growth of the program, and sharing information with their communities.
