2050 Statewide and Regional Transit Plans
The Statewide Transit Plan establishes a framework for creating an integrated statewide transit system and prioritizes transit investment.
Colorado is also divided into 15 regions including 10 rural Transportation Planning Regions (TPRs) and five Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO). Each region develops a Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) that identifies the unique needs and priorities for the region. As a part of the development of those plans, a Regional Transit Plan is also created, which fulfills the federal requirement (49 U.S.C. Section 5310) for a Coordinated Public Transit and Human Services Transportation Plan.
