Draft 2050 Regional Transit Plans
Colorado is divided into 15 regions including 10 rural Transportation Planning Regions (TPRs) and five Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO). Each region develops a Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) that identifies the unique needs and priorities for the region. As a part of the development of those plans, a Regional Transit Plan is also created, which fulfills the federal requirement (49 U.S.C. Section 5310) for a Coordinated Public Transit and Human Services Transportation Plan.
A draft of each Regional Transit Plan is linked below. Please review the draft Regional Transit Plans and share your feedback to help shape a safer transportation system with more mobility options and well-maintained infrastructure across Colorado. The final versions of these plans are expected to be completed and presented for approval to the individual TPRs by the end of 2025.
