Phase 2: Wadsworth Boulevard from Highland Drive to 10th Avenue (Project Complete)

Phase 2, completed in 2020, aimed to increase multimodal capacity, improve drainage, and widen Wadsworth Boulevard between 10th Avenue and Highland Drive. Improvements included:

  • Widening Wadsworth Boulevard from four to six lanes and paving three lanes in each direction from just north of the 6th Avenue Frontage Road to just north of 10th Avenue
  • Adding a detached 10-foot-wide multi-use path on both sides of Wadsworth Boulevard from Highland Drive to 10th Avenue;
  • New light poles along Wadsworth
  • Adding a storm sewer stretching from Highland Drive to 10th Avenue
  • Widening and realigning Lakewood Gulch under Wadsworth Boulevard upstream to the confluence with McIntyre Gulch; and
  • Construction of a new box culvert with a multi-use path crossing at Lakewood Gulch under Wadsworth Boulevard

Phase 2 Improvements US 6 & Wadsworth
