Phase 5: 12th Avenue/Wadsworth Boulevard Water Quality Pond

This phase constructed a new water quality extended detention basin (pond) at the southeast quadrant of Wadsworth Boulevard and 12th Avenue in Summer 2025. Water quality ponds are shallow depressions designed to protect the environment by filtering pollutants from stormwater runoff before the runoff enters adjacent waterways. The pond is located on CDOT property adjacent to City of Lakewood's Two Creeks Park.
