CDOT to begin resurfacing project on I-70 between Rifle and Silt

May 23, 2014 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - GARFIELD COUNTY– On Tuesday, May 27, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin a project to improve Interstate 70 westbound and eastbound from mile marker 86.5 to mile marker 97.

The project will consist of removing and replacing concrete pavement slabs, replacing guardrail, striping, bridge deck repairs and thin bonded polyester concrete overlays. The $4.4 million dollar project was awarded to contractor Multiple Concrete Enterprises, Incorporated of Ogden, Utah.

TRAVEL IMPACTS - Lane closures will occur for the duration of the project and speeds will be reduced from 75 MPH to 45 MPH through the work zone. Vehicles wider than 14 feet will be restricted through the project. No on or off ramp work is expected. For project updates, please email [email protected] or call 970.387.8643.
