New Wadsworth Configuration During Constriction

May 23, 2014 - Metro Denver Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - Wadsworth from 10th to Colfax in New Alignment thru July.

Denver Metro – As part of the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) project to improve capacity from 10th to Colfax continues, a new traffic alignment has been put in place for both directions of Wadsworth in this area. When traveling this stretch of road for the next couple of weeks, be aware of this new alignment and use caution as drivers acquaint themselves. This lane configuration will be in place thru July.

This project will widen Wadsworth from 10th to Colfax to three lanes in either direction and will also include a center median for safer operations, a new concrete box culvert to carry dry gulch and improve drainage in the area, and a ten foot wide multi-use path on both sides of the roadway.  This is the first phase of construction from the US 6 and Wadsworth Interchange Study.  This project is scheduled for completion in March 2015.
