SH 340 (Broadway) Road Closure for Bridge Repairs Begins Monday

May 30, 2014 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - MESA COUNTY –Beginning Monday, June 2nd, SH 340 (Broadway) will be closed east of Deer Park Circle (mile marker 5.6) to west of South Broadway (near mile marker 5.9) for bridge repairs.

Only local driveway access will be permitted. The bridge work is expected to take seven days to complete.

To minimize traffic impacts, construction will occur 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until the bridge work is complete. A signed detour utilizing US 50 and US 6 will be provided during the closure. This closure also applies to cyclists. Please plan accordingly.

The pavement resurfacing operation continues throughout the entire project area. This process requires that traffic be restricted to one lane Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.-7 p.m.  In special cases, these hours may be extended or weekend work may be necessary. A pilot car will escort traffic through the work zone. Motorists should expect reduced speed limits and delays.

CDOT would like to remind motorists to Slow for the Cone Zone. Fines will be doubled within the work zone. If you have questions or concerns about this project, please call the project hotline at 970-314-5540 or email [email protected].
