Mt. Evans to Close June 16 – 18 for Roadwork

June 13, 2014 - Metro Denver Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - Mount Evans – State Highway 5 will be closed to traffic beginning at 6:00 AM Monday June 16, 2014, through 6:00 PM, Wednesday, June 18, 2014 for roadwork that will block the entire roadway.

Work will be taking place near mile marker 6.5 which is approximately 2 miles below Summit Lake. During this time, no vehicle traffic will be allowed on the roadway but bicycles and pedestrians will be allowed through.

Personnel will be located at the entrance gate only during these hours to allow your departure from the area. The gate will be closed and no personnel will be available outside these hours to provide access through the gate.
