TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Temporary Lane Closure in Place on I-70 at Exit 94 Near Rifle

July 31, 2014 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - GARFIELD COUNTY– The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is temporarily closing the right lane at Exit 94 (Mamm Creek) on eastbound I-70 until general maintenance repairs can be completed at this exit east of Rifle.

Travelers wishing to exit at mile marker 94 will be routed to the shoulder of I-70 in order to avoid the temporary closure. The left lane will remain open for travelers continuing east on I-70. The repairs are being conducted as a part of the larger resurfacing project taking place along this stretch of I-70.

TRAVEL IMPACTS  - Lane closures will occur for the duration of the project and speeds will be reduced from 75 MPH to 45 MPH through the work zone. Vehicles wider than 14 feet will be restricted through the project. Ramp work at this location could be expected. For project updates, please email [email protected] or call 970.387.8643.
