Cancelled: Sept. 9 overnight northbound I-25 closure, Lincoln to County Line; Rescheduled for Sept. 10

September 9, 2014 - Metro Denver Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - Lone Tree, CO – Due to weather, the Sept. 9 overnight northbound I-25 closure between Lincoln and County Line has been cancelled.

This closure, utilizing the same detour route via E-470, has been rescheduled for Sept. 10 from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. No tolls will be collected for the E-470 detour. This work is part of an effort to widen I-25 from Lincoln Avenue to County Line Road. See detour route attached.

The $32 million project will add an additional lane in each direction on I-25 from Lincoln Avenue to County Line Road, resulting in four lanes in each direction. In addition to expanding capacity on I-25, crews will be replacing existing asphalt with concrete to better match the I-25 corridor. This project will also help improve the traffic patterns from the C-470 southbound off-ramp and the northbound Lincoln on-ramp merges, as well as provide better pedestrian trail connections. Funded by CDOT, Douglas County, City of Lone Tree and DRCOG, the project will be completed no later than June 2016.
