Castle Creek Bridge Inspection on SH 82 Scheduled for Thursday

September 16, 2014 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - ASPEN/PITKIN COUNTY – On Thursday, September 18, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) staff bridge team will be performing a routine inspection of the Castle Creek Bridge on SH 82.

The inspection will begin around 10:00 a.m. and staff bridge engineers plan to have it completed by early afternoon.  The inspection is starting later in the morning in an effort to not impact the early commuter traffic into Aspen.

ALTERNATE ROUTE: Commercial truck traffic and RFTA buses will still use the bridge and will be guided through the project by traffic control.  All other vehicular traffic will use the alternate route in place--SH 82 westbound traffic will exit at north 7th Street to west Smuggler Street, heading west to Power Plant Road to Cemetery Lane and back to SH 82.
