I-25 over 48th Avenue Bridge Joint Repair to Begin

October 7, 2014 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - DENVER – Starting Wednesday, Oct. 8, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin a bridge joint replacement project on I-25 over 48th Avenue.

This $1 million project was awarded to ABCO Contracting, Inc. and also includes similar bridge repairs on I-25 over I-70 collector-distributor ramps. The project is scheduled to be complete in spring 2015.

Work begins on southbound I-25 general travel lanes first. In general, mainline I-25 construction activity will occur between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday – Thursday and between 11 p.m. and 10 a.m. on weekends. The project will require single or two lane closures, with minor delays expected. Work within the I-25 HOV/Toll Express Lanes will be limited to weekends only.
