Alternating Traffic on Highway 50 Today in Fremont County

November 25, 2014 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - FREMONT COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is alternating traffic on U.S. 50 today, about five miles east of Texas Creek, for rock removal.

A large rock came down onto the highway and crews need to break it into smaller pieces with a “Boulder Buster,” requiring a flagger to alternate traffic through the work zone.  Delays up to five minutes should be expected.

The work should be completed this afternoon.

No injuries occurred.  The only damage was a smashed barrier.
