Larimer County project to affect traffic on US 34 east of Drake

November 21, 2014 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - Temporary crossing to provide access for residents.

LARIMER COUNTY – Eastbound travelers on US 34 may experience up to 10 minute delays due to the construction of a temporary crossing east of Drake.

Larimer County is building the temporary crossing to replace the Moodie Bridge that was washed out in last September’s flooding. The crossing will allow access to residents on the south side of the river.

A permanent bridge will be built in the future as this crossing, which entails seven pipes to allow water to go under, would not last through high water.

Construction on the crossing will continue through December with no weekend work planned.
