Periodic Ramp/Lane Closures at I-25/Santa Fe

June 23, 2016 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - Beginning tonight and continuing through Thursday, June 30, periodic lane and ramp closures will be in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving operations on the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Interstate 25/Santa Fe Drive Interchange Reconstruction Project.

Lane closures on northbound Santa Fe Avenue.  Periodic full and partial ramp closures from:

  • Northbound Santa Fe to northbound I-25
  • Northbound I-25 to Santa Fe/Alameda Avenue
  • Northbound Santa Fe to southbound I-25

Detours will be in place, as needed.

No work is scheduled overnight Friday and Saturday.

This $24 million project began in June 2014 and is scheduled to be completed in winter 2016/2017. Phases 1.2 and 1.3 were combined as a bridge replacement project that replaced the structures on I-25 over Santa Fe Drive. This project is now complete.

The current phase focuses primarily on Santa Fe, Alameda and southbound Kalamath.  It includes the new bridge over the South Platte River that carries southbound I-25 off-ramp traffic onto southbound Santa Fe Drive. In addition, Alameda will be widened through the Santa Fe Drive/Kalamath Street intersections.

This project is designed to enhance safety, help reduce congestion and improve mobility through this heavily traveled area of Denver.
