Upcoming Overnight Closures of I-25 On- and Off-Ramps at Ilex/98A Exit

July 28, 2016 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - PUEBLO —The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and contractor Flatiron Constructors, Inc. will begin nightly closures of the US 50 Business East to La Junta Exit-98A on Monday, August 8 through Thursday, August 11.

This includes both the Interstate-25 on- and off-ramps for northbound I-25 from 10:30 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. Motorists will be detoured to the 1st Street/City Center Exit.

Additionally, Ilex Street will be closed from Santa Fe Drive to I-25 during this timeframe. The closure is required for utility work along Ilex Street.

The I-25 Ilex Street to City Center Drive project is the first project of the New Pueblo Freeway: the reconstruction of I-25 between City Center Drive (1st Street) and Ilex Street through downtown Pueblo. Construction includes upgrading a number of bridges south of downtown. The project began in July 2015, and is expected to be completed in 2018.
