US 160 and Denver Avenue Work in Alamosa Postponed

ALAMOSA—The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced that work at the intersection of Denver Avenue and US Highway 160 (US 160) has been postponed. Crews had been scheduled to begin work on Monday, Aug. 22. Additionally, plans to add a raised median at the intersection have been eliminated.

At a later time this summer or early fall, crews will upgrade the signal lighting and refresh lane striping at this intersection.

This CDOT signalized intersections improvement project is replacing light signals at various locations in nine southwestern Colorado cities. This project is part of CDOT's traffic signal capital replacement program, and includes the replacement of traffic signal heads, as well as traffic striping and installation of concrete traffic signal pads.
