No. Only the person who is registered may attend the exam session they registered for. If there is a mistake, there are no refunds.
Currently, initial certification is for three years, and subsequent certifications last five years. Certifications issued prior to 2008 may have been issued for a different duration, so depending on when you took the exam, your certification may be for a different length of time. Please check your certificate for your expiration date.
Digital testing is only available for what is considered a “full certification” that includes both the WAQTC and the CDOT SI certification. CDOT will hold a few in-person exam sessions a year for SI-only certifications; one in the Spring and one in the Fall. It is up to those registering to make sure they are signing up for the correct session to be SI-only certified. There are no refunds.
You can register for the digital exam by clicking on the "WAQTC Digital Testing Registration" button on the right side of the screen. Once you successfully pass the digital exam, you will have up to one year to successfully complete the lab portion of the certification. If the lab portion is not completed within the one-year period, then you must restart the certification process. You can register for the practical exam by clicking on the "WAQTC Practical Registration Form" button on the right side of the screen.

You can reschedule your exam by filling out the exam reschedule form. Please note that reschedules cannot be made within two business days of the course, and no refunds or credits will be made for no-shows. If your reschedule request is submitted online at least two business days prior to the exam date there will be a $35 charge. You will be required to pay the reschedule fee at the time of enrollment by credit card or PayPal account. CDOT Employees will not be required to pay at the time of enrollment.

Course cancellation is not available, but your company may substitute a current registration with an alternate participant at no additional charge. No notification of the substitution is necessary. You may simply send the alternate participant to the exam.

If you do not pass the digital exam, this is considered a failure. Failing participants will need to register for a future digital testing session at full charge.

If a participant passes the digital portion of the certification, but does not complete or pass the practical portion, they may return to one future certification session and re-attempt the practical portion of the certification for an additional fee. The individual will have up to 12 months to complete the practical portion retake. Retakes will be administered at the CDOT Materials Lab. You will be required to pay the registration fee at the time of enrollment by credit card or PayPal account.

The digital exams are conducted at Webassessor locations which are selected at the time of registration.

The practical exam is administered at the CDOT Materials Lab Certification/Training Room, located at: 4670 Holly Street, Denver, CO 80216-6408.

Please note, practical exam participants must park in the lots to the east and west of the building (green areas). Vehicles parked on the north side of the building (red area) will be towed. See image below for details:
