State Highway 16 near Fort Carson

February 24, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - FOUNTAIN – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be replacing six concrete surface panels on Mesa Ridge Parkway (State Highway 16) this weekend, requiring around-the-clock lane closures.

CDOT replaced about 20 panels through the area last weekend.

Beginning at 7 tonight, and continuing until midday Sunday, February 26, the left shoulders of eastbound and westbound Mesa Ridge and the left turn lane from westbound Mesa Ridge to southbound Bandley will be closed.  Traffic impacts are expected to be minimal since the two through lanes of eastbound and westbound Mesa Ridge will remain open.

CDOT is replacing concrete panels that have settled.  Replacing the panels will provide the traveling public with a smoother road surface.

Drivers are reminded to please Slow for the Cone Zone, stay alert and pay attention to and obey all work zone/advisory signs and flaggers.
