Lane Closures Canceled near Idaho Springs

March 5, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - Work continues at Georgetown Hill.

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation is postponing the lane closures scheduled for this week on Interstate 70 at Floyd Hill and Hidden Valley.

Bridge work was scheduled for tomorrow and Wednesday.  However, it requires warmer weather (40 degrees plus) and light winds at the most and the weather forecast is calling for windy conditions and possible snow showers in the area both days.

CDOT expects to reschedule the work for next week – weather permitting.  Notifications will be made prior to any lane closures.

A right lane closure is scheduled for this Wednesday and Thursday along westbound I-70 on Georgetown Hill, from 10:30 a.m. until dark, for rock mitigation work.  Drivers should expect some slowing through the area.

Weekly lane closure information about this and other projects will be available at www.coloradodot.info/travel/scheduled-lane-closures.html or by calling 511.  To receive project updates via e-mail, visit www.coloradodot.info and click on the cell-phone icon in the upper right-hand corner.  The link takes you to a list of items you can subscribe to, including I-70 West, Denver to Glenwood Springs.
