Lane Closures on I-25 Near Johnstown Begin Sunday Night

March 16, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - Lane closures will allow for median, shoulder, and striping work.

LARIMER/WELD COUNTIES — Beginning Sunday, March 18, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be performing median, shoulder, and striping work on I-25 from mile marker (MM) 249 near State Highway 56 south of Johnstown to MM 258 near US 34 at Loveland. Night work will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through next Thursday, March 22 as part of the ongoing project.

In addition to the lane closures on I-25, motorists should prepare for US 34 ramp closures from southbound I-25 on Tuesday, March 20 and Wednesday, March 21.

Motorists should expect delays on both northbound and southbound I-25 as traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and speeds will be reduced to 45 MPH through the work zone. Alternate routes are advised for travelers who plan to use the southbound I-25 exit ramp to US 34. There are no oversize/overweight restrictions at this time.

CDOT would like to remind motorists to obey all road signs and flaggers, and to drive Slow for the Cone Zone. To receive updates about road conditions in the area, visit www.coloradodot.info/ and click on the green cell phone icon in the upper right hand corner of the page.
