Paving on I-70 Next Week in Silverthorne Area

May 17, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - SUMMIT COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is paving a one-mile segment of eastbound Interstate 70 in the Silverthorne area on Monday May 21.

From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., a single right or left lane closure will be in place on eastbound I-70, beginning at the Dillon Reservoir Overlook, and continuing east to the Silverthorne Interchange.   Drivers should expect some slowing or possible delays through the area, along with a reduced 50 mph speed limit.

The resurfacing prevents surface deterioration, extending the service life of the roadway.

On Tuesday, May 22, and continuing through Thursday, May 24, during the hours listed above, spot paving operations will be taking place in the right lane of eastbound I-70, beginning at the Silverthorne Interchange and continuing east five miles.   CDOT is repairing areas of pavement rutting along this segment.
