Detour on State Highway 392 Through Next Week East of I-25

June 8, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - Motorists will be rerouted north to Jacoby Road.

LARIMER/WELD COUNTIES — Effective immediately through Friday, June 15 at 6 p.m. crews from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) have closed State Highway (SH) 392 from Larimer County Road (LCR) 3 to 17th Street in Windsor east of I-25 as part of the highway resurfacing project.

A local detour is in place and signs will direct motorists along the route, which will be north on LCR 3 or 15th Street to Jacoby Road. Crews had initially hoped to open the stretch of highway between LCR 13 and LCR 3 by this tonight, but after removing part of the roadway for a routine process of the resurfacing, discovered that the existing road was not safe for motorists to use for travel.

Speed limits are reduced through the area and motorists are reminded to obey all road signs and flaggers, and to drive Slow for the Cone Zone.

CDOT is well underway on a neighboring interchange improvement project at I-25 and SH 392. Since the two projects are directly adjacent to each other and also directly impact one another, CDOT will be providing updates for both projects together at Access to local businesses will remain available throughout both projects.

Lawson Construction is the contractor for the $4.9 million resurfacing project that is scheduled for completion by December 2012.
