Delays Continue on State Highway 72 Next Week

July 13, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - Pilot car will direct traffic through resurfacing project work zone.

BOULDER COUNTY — Continuing from this week and lasting through next Friday, July 20, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be using a pilot car on the State Highway (SH) 72 resurfacing project north of Nederland and the SH 119 intersection. Motorists heading northbound and southbound will be guided through the three-mile work zone by the pilot car. All cyclists should use alternative routes, as they will not be allowed to ride through the work zone for their own safety.

Motorists should plan for minor delays of 10 minutes in both directions of SH 72 between Raymond and the intersection of SH 7 to Nederland and the SH 119 intersection. Workers will be present and operating the pilot car from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day next week. Motorists are reminded to obey all road signs and flaggers, and to drive Slow for the Cone Zone throughout the work zone.
