I-25 Ramp Closure in Pueblo Extended Through Wednesday Morning

September 17, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - PUEBLO – The Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) is keeping the ramp from northbound Interstate 25 to U.S. 50/State Highway 47 closed through the morning of Wednesday, September 19.

The ramp is expected to reopen Wednesday afternoon and was originally closed last Friday morning, September 14, to allow the old road surface to be replaced with new concrete pavement. CDOT must keep the ramp closed due to problems with material delays and an equipment breakdown that have delayed the completion of the work.

While the ramp is closed, traffic can detour by exiting at 29th Street (Exit 100B), west on 29th to Elizabeth Street, and north on Elizabeth to U.S. 50, or exit at Eagleridge Boulevard (Exit 102), west on Eagleridge to Elizabeth, and south on Elizabeth to U.S. 50.

The closure is part of the road and bridge improvement project at the Interstate 25/U.S. 50/State Highway 47 Interchange. Work consists of removing and replacing concrete road panels, rehabilitating the bridge deck, installing new expansion joints and upgrades to the irrigation system.
