Tomorrow is the Day - Full Closure of I-25 in Denver for Presidential Debate

DENVER— Tomorrow, October 3 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., approximately six miles of Interstate 25 will be closed in both directions from the Santa Fe Drive (US 85) interchange to the Hampden Avenue (US 285) interchange for the 2012 presidential debate at the University of Denver. All closures, dates and times are subject to change.

In addition, University Boulevard between Evans Avenue and Louisiana Avenue will be closed from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Buchtel Boulevard will be closed from Franklin Street to University Boulevard with local eastbound access to High Street beginning at 6 p.m. tonight.

There are numerous ways for motorists to pass through the city and detour routes are posted on I-25. The key for tomorrow is to plan ahead to avoid major delays. To view maps of the closure and detour routes, please visit www.cotrip.org.
