Location of Speed Enforcement Cameras
Locations
The Colorado Speed Enforcement program is currently issuing $75 civil penalties in the following locations:
- The CO 119 Safety, Mobility and Bikeway project work zone between Boulder and Longmont
- The I-25 North Express Lanes project work zone between Mead and Berthoud
Speed safety cameras will be placed in other Colorado highway work and school zones as the program develops.

- Warning Period: March 1, 2026
- Status: Civil penalties active
- Location: CO 119 from MP 46.6 to 47.6
- County: Boulder
- Warning Period: July 21, 2025

Violations
A notice of violation will be mailed to the vehicle's registered owner within 30 days of the violation occurring. The civil penalty for speeding in a work zone using speed safety cameras is $75.
As specified in Colorado Revised Statute 42-4-110.5, the registered owner of the vehicle remains liable for payment of the violation even if the registered owner was not driving the motor vehicle. The registered owner may obtain payment from the lessor or renter of the motor vehicle and forward the payment to the state.
