National Highway Institute (NHI) Training

CDOT's Office of Employee Development offers National Highway Institute (NHI) classes to transportation engineers across Colorado. NHI instructor-led training is technical and topic-specific; courses are scheduled in-person and virtually. A CDOT Subject Matter Expert attends each class to answer any CDOT related questions that may arise.

Fiscal Year 2026 NHI Classes with Public Seating:

CDOT's 2025 fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30 each year. NHI is developing their 2026 fiscal year course catalog, which will be announced in October 2025. They are currently transitioning to the Blackboard Learning Management System and learners will need to register for a Blackboard account to be able to have access to the NHI course catalog. External partners will need to follow these instructions to be able to access NHI training.
