Little Thompson River Bridge

Project Milestone - US 34

The North I-25 Express Lanes Project has reached a major milestone in completing construction on the new US Highway 34 bridge. Crews demolished the old bridge during the nighttime hours of June 10 (see photos). Work on top of the new bridge and under the bridge on I-25 will continue throughout the project duration.

The new US 34 bridge will add an additional through lane in each direction. The overall project will also increase capacity on I-25 by adding an Express Lane in both directions, constructing inside and outside shoulders, and replacing aging bridges. The project will also improve multimodal access to regional transit.
