Southbound I-25 closure required for sign installation near Crossroads Boulevard Sunday night

Loveland – To continue I-25 widening construction, the Colorado Department of Transportation and I-25 North Express Lanes, Johnstown to Fort Collins crews will install signage over the interstate and remove temporary roadway barrier the night of Sunday, July 16. To safely perform this work, a full closure of southbound I-25, from Crossroads Boulevard to US 34 is required. The closure will be in place from 9 p.m. Sunday, July 16 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 17.
Once completed, this project will increase capacity on I-25 by adding an Express Lane in both directions, constructing inside and outside shoulders, and replacing aging bridges. The project will also improve multimodal access to regional transit.
Travel Impacts:
- Full closure of southbound I-25 from Crossroads Boulevard/Exit 269 to US 34/Exit 257 from 9 p.m., Sunday, July 16 until 5 a.m., Monday, July 17.
- Southbound traffic will exit I-25 at exit 259/Crossroads Boulevard, head east to Centerra Parkway, proceed south on Centerra Parkway to US 34 and west on US 34 to the southbound I-25 on-ramp.

- Do not speed in work zones. Obey the posted speed limits.
- Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.
- Watch for workers. Drive with caution.
- Don't change lanes unnecessarily.
- Avoid using mobile devices such as phones while driving in work zones.
- Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.
- Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.
- Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
- Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.
- Anticipate lane shifts and merge when directed to do so.
